You will unlock the ability to use partition walls after helping 10 clients in Happy Home Paradise. After completing nine designs for different villagers around the resort, Niko will teach you the partition wall when you go to design your tenth home. 

After using the partition wall in this design, Niko will teach you the DIY recipe for it. 

To craft the partition wall you’ll need 3 wood and 3 clay. So it’s easy to craft and if you’ve been playing you should have a stockpile of these resources lying around in storage.

One important note about partition walls is that you can’t mount and items on a partition wall. It’s not detrimental, but always good information to have when renovating your home.
