How to Get the Grenade Launcher in Resident Evil 7

Find out how to get a hidden weapon in Resident Evil 7.

Resident Evil 7 has plenty of weapons for players to find and equip to help them as they fight off the Bakers in Capcom’s latest horror story. One weapon, though, can only be found by backtracking to an area that was previously locked. While ammo for this weapon is scarce, it can be extremely useful against large Molded enemies that players run into down the line, and is also extremely useful in boss fights. In this article we’ll show you how to find the Grenade Launcher in Resident Evil 7.

How to Find the Grenade Launcher

Before you can find the Grenade Launcher, you’re going to need to make your way through the story to the Old House. Here you will be able to find the Crow Key, which you need to progress further through the story. You also need it to access a locked room inside the Main House.

Sneak back past Marguerite Baker and head back outside of the Old House. She won’t follow you, and you’re going to want the Grenade Launcher for the upcoming boss battle, so ignore her for the moment and just keep going.

Make your way back out into the Yard, and then up into the Main House. Turn left inside the Main House and head through the Scorpion door that you used to exit the Processing Area after fighting Jack Baker in the Morgue. Continue straight down the hallway, and move back through the room where you ran into your first Molded. This should lead you back to the Drawing Room, where you’ll find a Crow Door that you can unlock.

Open up the door and head inside to discover the Storage room. Here you will find the Grenade Launcher, as well as two Flame Rounds for it. You’ll also find additional ammo for your gun, a Solid Fuel, and a Strong Chem Fluid. Ammunition for the Grenade Launcher can be hard to find, so make sure you save it for really strong Molded and boss fights.

You can also wait to get the Grenade Launcher until after you defeat Marguerite, though we’d suggest grabbing it now as things will change up a bit once you find the Snake Key and enter the Testing Area. This is your last chance to explore the Main House without having to worry about too many Molded, so grab everything you haven’t picked up yet, so that you’re ready for what comes next.
