With the big 2.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons available comes a number of questions from how to get wheat to how to get the adorable Froggy Chair. When it comes to the latter, there are a couple ways you can go about securing your very own Froggy Chair.
With that in mind, here’s a rundown of ways to get the Froggy Chair in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
How to Get the Froggy Chair in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The quick answer to the question of how to get the Froggy Chair in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to purchase it from Timmy and Tommy at Nook’s Cranny, or to purchase it from Redd when his ship docks at your island.
Note that the Froggy Chair needs to be in the shop’s item rotation, meaning you’ll need to regularly visit Nook’s Cranny and Redd to see if the Froggy Chair is available for purchase.
We haven’t tested this method ourselves just yet, but it seems like it’s also possible to get the Froggy Chair from a friend using the item drop trick.
Essentially, if your friend already owns the Froggy Chair and invites you over to their island (or they bring it over to your island), they can drop the item on the ground for you. From there, you can pick it up and add it to your inventory, then drop it again to give it back to them.
When you return to your island, you should eventually be able to purchase the Froggy Chair via Nook Shopping which can be accessed either by visiting your NookStop Terminal, or by finding and selecting it on your NookPhone.
It may not immediately appear in the Nook Shopping catalog, so if you don’t see it after returning from your friend’s island, time travel or wait until the following day to check the Nook Shopping catalog again to see if the Froggy Chair has been added to it.
Something else to keep in mind is that there are six different Froggy Chair designs ranging from the standard green to pink and yellow and beyond. If your friend only has the yellow Froggy Chair for example, you’ll only be able to purchase the yellow Froggy Chair.
And that’s all there is to it! To recap, you can get the Froggy Chair by purchasing it from Nook’s Cranny or from Redd. Or, if you have a friend who has a Froggy Chair already, you can pick the item up from them and then purchase it later through Nook Shopping.
