Fortnite players who spot the cool new Harvesting Tool called the Breathless Blades held by other players have found themselves wondering how to get a pair for themselves.
Additionally, Fortnite players who participated in the Hearts Wild Team Battles and placed first may be wondering when they’ll see their rewards which include the Breathless Blades pickaxe.
To help sort things out, we’ve put together a quick feature going over the ways you can get the Breathless Blades in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
How to Get Breathless Blades in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6
In Fortnite, the Breathless Blades are a special Harvesting Tool that’s part of the Be Mine set.
To get the Breathless Blades, Fortnite players will either need to have placed first in the Hearts Wild Team Battles or have completed the Hearts Wild Quests when they were available back in February.
You couldn’t (and can’t) purchase the Breathless Blades from the Item Shop using V-Bucks.
Both the Hearts Wild Cup and Hearts Wild Quests took place back in February 2021. If you competed in the Hearts Wild Cup and placed first or you completed the Hearts Wild Quests, your rewards should start appearing in your inventory as of March 18.
As confirmed by Epic Games in a blog post, Fortnite players who placed first in the Hearts Wild Team Battles will earn the following items as a reward:
Hearts Wild Team Battles – First Place Rewards
- Breathless Blades Pickaxe
- Shuffle Shapes Wrap
- Reel Love Spray
- Perfect Match Emoticon
- Hearts Wild Team Battles Banner
Another blog post from Epic Games talks about some of the Be Mine set items that players can acquire through the Item Shop, and the Breathless Blades aren’t among them, thereby confirming they weren’t available in the Item Shop.
That being said, the Breathless Blades are part of the Be Mine set in Fortnite.

- Breathless Blades (Harvesting Tool) – First Place in the Hearts Wild Team Battles, Hearts Wild Epic Quests
- Cuddle King (Outfit) – 1,200 V-Bucks in the Item Shop
- Stuffy Sack (Back Bling) – 1,200 V-Bucks in the Item Shop, Cuddle King Outfit
- Lovely (Outfit) – 1,200 V-Bucks in the Item Shop
- Heartblast (Back Bling) – 1,200 V-Bucks in the Item Shop, Hearts Wild Cup, Lovely Outfit
- Lovestruck Strikers (Harvesting Tool) – 800 V-Bucks in the Item Shop
If you want to make sure your Be Mine set is complete, you’ll need all of the above items.
And to quickly recap, the Breathless Blades were only available to those who placed first in the Hearts Wild Team Battles or those who completed the Hearts Wild Quests.
The Breathless Blades have begun to go out to Fortnite players as a reward as of March 18, which we can confirm as we received our Breathless Blades as of March 18.
