For those completionists out there taking on Mortal Kombat 11, Soul Fragments are an important part of unlocking secret items in-game – including secret areas in the Krypt. It’s one of those in-game currencies that players will want a lot of, which makes knowing how to get them very important. To get started on getting as many of these as you can, there’s a few basic tips on how to do so efficiently.
First things first – Obtaining Soul Fragments is not meant to be an easy task. Getting them is intentionally meant to be a grind, so keep that in mind before getting started. For those that want every item available in Mortal Kombat 11, the grind is worth it – but there isn’t a speedy solution to farming Soul Fragments, so be prepared to get to work.
AI Battles
A big way to earn Soul Fragments is through AI 3v3 battles. For those unfamiliar, this tasks the player with picking a team of three to fight it out against another team of three. You won’t actually be fighting in these battles, the AI will do the dirty work for you, but when won – 10 Soul Fragments will be awarded. For those that don’t mind repetition, this is a pretty solid way to farm as well.
Towers
By winning battles and meeting the score requirement, especially with the Time Towers, Soul Fragments, Hearts, and Koins will be awarded.
Using Tower Konsumables and Augments will also increase the amount of Souls awarded in addition to clearing the Krypt with the use of Ermac’s Amulet, which you can find here.
Daily Rewards will also offer Souls, but they need to be manually claimed in the Kombat Kard section found in the main menu.
As for the game itself, there are three important currencies to keep in mind:
- Soul Fragments
- Hearts
- Koins
