How to Start The Whisper Secret Quest

As we said before, The Whisper is a secret quest added into Destiny 2’s latest update and there are still a lot of questions surrounding the quest itself. In fact, details are still very blurry at the moment, and many players are still working hard to figure out all of the important information that others need to know. Because of this, this guide will be updated constantly as new information becomes available, so make sure you check back often to find out what other steps you need to take to get started.

In order to kick off The Whisper secret quest, players will need to head to IO and make their way over to the Lost Oasis. This is one of the zones on IO and here players will need to roam around the area, waiting for a special yellow bar enemy to spawn in the Lost Sector in this area. This enemy is actually the Taken version of Urzok the Hated, a well-known Hive Knight from Destiny 1, who roamed around the Skywatch area in Old Russia. Once the knight spawns, take him out. It’s a challenging fight, so be ready and make sure you have help.

It’s also believed that Urzok only spawns after the taken blight event which takes place in this zone, however there is no 100% guarantee of this just yet. We’ll update when we know more.

Once you kill Urzok, head out of the cave and look for a portal that spawns nearby. Head to it and it will give you the option to enter the anomaly and start the quest. You should get the quest at this point, and a timer should start counting down from 20 minutes.

Right now, nobody is really that sure where things go from here. Players are still working hard to iron out all of the details, however at least one Fireteam has completed the quest and unlocked the Whisper of the Worm, an Exotic Sniper Rifle which appears to replace the Black Spindle from Destiny 1. We’ll update the guide with more information as it is discovered, so check back often for the most up to date info.
