The Push To Talk function in Gray Zone Warfare allows you to communicate with other players in your lobby efficiently. Communication is essential to succeed in the different quests that are present in this tactical shooter. Here’s how to enable in-game voice chat (push to talk) in Gray Zone Warfare.
How to Enable Push To Talk in Gray Zone Warfare
The ability to use in-game voice chat can be enabled easily from the main settings. By default, it should be turned on. However, you can do the same manually if that’s not the case.
- Press the Tab button to open your inventory.Â
- Open the in-game settings by clicking on the gear icon.Â
- Scroll over to the Audio Section (present under the Game tab).Â
- Toggle the on/off option to enable/disable in-game voice chat.
There are two options available when it comes to VOIP.
- Squad VOIP – This allows you to communicate with your teammates. There’s no fear of anyone else overhearing what you’re telling your allies.
- Proximity VOIP – This feature will allow enemies to speak with you (and vice versa). Keep this turned on only if you know what you’re doing. (This mode can offer you some unique advantages when used properly)

Once VOIP is enabled from the settings, you can communicate easily with your allies/enemies. All you have to do is press the Z button and speak in your microphone.
Do note that there are certain limitations when it comes to in-game chat. You can’t change the key binding required for Push To Talk. The recent updates have yet to change this system, but there could be some solutions in the future. Additionally, the only available option is the Push To Talk option. Once again, more options might be made available as Madfinger Games pushes out updates in the future.
While communication is key, some missions like the Rat’s Nest make it almost mandatory for players to chat and coordinate with each other.
