Playground Games gave us an extended look at Forza Horizon 6 during the Xbox Developer Direct, featuring extensive developer interviews and a substantial amount of gameplay. Since this is a multi-platform release, players expect a wide range of modern cross-functional features across devices.
Here’s a breakdown of everything confirmed about Forza Horizon 6’s cross-platform capabilities.
Does Forza Horizon 6 Have Crossplay?
Yes, Forza Horizon 6 supports crossplay across all platforms, including PC, Xbox Series S|X, and PS5. This means you’ll be able to play with or against your friends regardless of their platforms.
Does Forza Horizon 6 Support Cross-saves?
Yes, Forza Horizon 6 supports cross-saves as well, allowing you to synchronize your progress regardless of device. Cross-save will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
Obviously, this doesn’t entitle you to an additional copy if you buy it on Steam or PlayStation Store, but if you purchase the digital version of Forza Horizon 6 on an Xbox Series X|S console or through the Microsoft Store on PC, you can play the game on both Xbox Series X|S and PC thanks to Play Anywhere.
That said, Forza titles usually tend to go on sale often, and if you plan on buying it on multiple platforms, being able to access your progress across devices is always a plus.

Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PC and Xbox Series S|X on May 19, 2026. It is also coming to PS5, but on a later date this year.
Can you play Forza Horizon 6 Early?
Yes, if you pre-order the Premium Edition for Forza Horizon 6 ($119.99 / £109.99 / €119.99), you will be able to play the title four days before its official release on May 15, 2026.

As usual, Playground Games is making all the right decisions when it comes to releasing a premium title on several platforms. I am a bit unsure why the PS5 release is a bit delayed, considering how successful the eventual Forza Horizon 5 port is, but at least it’s coming out eventually, and this year.
