What Is the Rarest Skin in Fortnite 2020

There have been lots of skins released since Fortnite Season 1, but which one is the rarest? If you have one of these skins, you're a true OG.

With Fortnite about to begin Season 13 (Chapter 2: Season 3) there have been tons of skins released in the Battle Pass and put up for sale in the Item Shop. While there are a handful of rare skins, some players are wondering, what is the rarest skin in Fortnite 2020. In this guide, we will take a look at the rarest skin and some of its competitors.

Fortnite: What Is the Rarest Skin

While there are a lot of rare skins, most consider the rarest skin in Fortnite to be the Renegade Raider. Released in Season 1 as a part of the Battle Pass, the Renegade Raider skin was awarded to those who reached Level 20 of the Battle Pass. Since it’s Season 1 debut, the skin hasn’t been re-released by Epic, so only the true OGs have it.

While the Renegade Raider is considered by many to be the rarest skin in Fortnite, there are some other skins that are pretty unique as well. For example, the Recon Raider skin was also released during Season 1 and is considered to be one of the rarest skins in Fortnite. It was initially released into the item shop for 1,200 V-Bucks and hasn’t reappeared since.

Another one of the rarest skins in Fortnite in 2020 is the Black Knight skin. It first appeared in Season 2 and was available via the Battle Pass. Players could unlock the skin by reaching Level 70, which was a lot harder then than it is today. Like the others, the skin hasn’t been re-released by Epic since then.

Recently, Epic has been partnering with creators to bring creative in-game events to Fortnite. Sometimes, players can purchase an exclusive skin to go along with the event, like the recent Travis Scott skin. At release, it costed 1,500 V-Bucks and has been available during parts of Chapter 2: Season 2. However, it’s unclear if it’ll be available in future seasons. If not, it could become one of the rarest skins.

Another example is the Deadpool skin. Throughout the first part of Chapter 2: Season 2, players had to complete weekly challenges that built towards the eventual unlock of the Deadpool skin. While it has been available to Battle Pass owners throughout the season, it likely won’t be back in the game once Chapter 2: Season 3 begins, due to licensing arrangements.

What I’m trying to say is that you never know what the next rarest Fortnite skin will be, so if you see one you like right now, you better go ahead and get it, because you might not have the opportunity again in the future.

Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 is set to begin on June 4, so if you want to unlock any of the skins in the current Battle Pass, be sure to complete as many of the weekly challenges as possible to get XP.
