What is the Fortnite Dragon Shotgun?

The Fortnite Dragon Shotgun leak was uncovered by popular data miner Hypex in some of the game files. Per the report, the new shotgun will come in Epic and Legendary rarities and can deal up to 175 damage with a headshot. You can see the full stats in the tweet below.

Per the leak, it looks like the Dragon Shotgun has a clip size of 4, but will also cost 4 ammo per shot. Further, it seems that the Epic rarity will do a maximum of 130 damage for a body shot and 166 damage for a headshot. On the other hand, the Legendary version of the weapon will do a max of 140 damage for a body shot and 175 damage for a headshot. Lastly, the reload time on this bad boy will be just over 4 seconds, which is 2 seconds faster than the Tactical Shotgun and 1 second faster than the new Charge Shotgun.

It’s unclear when the Fortnite Dragon Shotgun release date will be, and technically speaking it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Epic to be coming to the game. There will likely be a handful of updates throughout Chapter 2: Season 3, so if Epic is planning to bring it to the game, players will likely see it added in with one of those. Additionally, as more updates are pushed to the game, leakers may be able to find out more information about the weapon.

It seems that Epic is having a good time experimenting with new features, as earlier this week it added in a new item called the Firefly Jar. Similar to real life, the item allows players to catch lightning bugs and store them in a jar. When they get in a bind, they can throw them at other players to start a small fire.

The launch of Season 3 also saw the addition of some new locations on the map and a new Battle Pass filled with tons of great rewards. Oh, and since most of the map is now filled with water, players can use a fishing pole to catch a shark and ride it around the island. Further, players can also complete some special challenges to unlock a season exclusive Aquaman skin.
