Fortnite | Deploy Scanners in the Alien Biome

by Morgan Shaver

As part of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7’s batch of Week 12 Challenges, players have been tasked with deploying scanners in the Alien Biome. At first glance, this can seem confusing as you’ll need to know where the outlines of the scanners are in order to interact with them and “place” them, plus you’ll need to know what “the Alien Biome” is referring to.

To help, we’ve put together a quick guide on how to deploy scanners in the Alien Biome!

Fortnite | Deploy Scanners in the Alien Biome

The first step when it comes to deploying Scanners in Alien Biomes is knowing where to find Alien Biomes where Scanners can be deployed in Fortnite. When interacting with the Quest in your Quest menu, several Alien Biome locations should appear as marked on your map.

You can pin one of these locations to help guide you there when you drop out of the Battle Bus, and you can always refer to the location info by opening your Quest menu and interacting with the Quest.

Once you make your way to one of these locations, your next order of business is finding the faint blue outline of a Scanner. When you find this, you can interact with it to “place” the Scanner. In total, you’ll need to deploy two Scanners in two Alien Biomes in order to complete the Quest.

After you’ve deployed two Scanners in two of the Alien Biome locations marked on your map, your Quest should be marked as complete. As a reward for completing this Quest, you’ll earn yourself a cool 30,000 XP in Fortnite and will be able to work on the last Legendary Quest for Week 12 which tasks you with collecting three Alien Devices.
