A new weapon has been added to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 called the Dual Fiend Hunters. The Dual Fiend Hunters are a type of crossbow similar to the Fiend Hunter Crossbow, but times two and with a faster rate of fire.
If you’re looking to get your hands on this new weapon to test it out and see what it can do, but aren’t sure where to look, we’ve got you covered. Below, we’ll walk you through where to find the Dual Fiend Hunters in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8!
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 | Where to Find Dual Fiend Hunters
The first question Fortnite players will have in regards to the Dual Fiend Hunters weapon is where to find it. In a post on the Fortnite blog, Epic Games notes that players can find Dual Fiend Hunters in regular Chests and as floor loot.
During our time in the game, we frequently found Dual Fiend Hunters simply by opening Chests. The Dual Fiend Hunters that drop from Chests are typically Rare. Don’t fret though, you can pay to upgrade the Dual Fiend Hunters at an Upgrade Bench.
The stats of the Dual Fiend Hunters (Rare) are as follows:
“Dual Crossbows. Shoots an arrow that deals heavy damage to Fiends.”
-
Damage: 31
-
Fire Rate: 4
-
Magazine Size: 16
-
Reload Time: 2.0
The note about Dual Fiend Hunters dealing heavy damage to Fiends is interesting, and in the Fortnite blog they’re described as an anti-Monster projectile, however you can use them to damage enemy opponents.
In fact, we tested these out on enemy players and were able to score several eliminations with them. We definitely recommend testing them out, even if they aren’t your cup of tea for serious matches, they’re certainly fun to play around with.
For more on the Dual Fiend Hunters, here’s the full description as found on the Fortnite blog:
“So you’re venturing into The Sideways to get some Sideways weapons. Like the Fiend Hunter Crossbow, the Dual Fiend Hunters deal extra damage to Cube Monsters. But here’s what’s different: being more modern, the Hunters have a faster fire rate than their Crossbow predecessor.
Where to find them? Dual Fiend Hunters can be found in Chests or on the ground. Take them with you into The Sideways to help turn the tide your way. Oh, and do the Hunters remind anyone else of a certain Halloween celebration?”
To recap, Dual Fiend Hunters can be found by searching Chests or by looking for them as floor loot. Typically, you’ll find the Rare type of Dual Fiend Hunters but you can upgrade them at an Upgrade Bench.
While they’re great for dealing with Monsters, Dual Fiend Hunters can be used against any enemy type from Raptors to enemy players. We hope this helps!
