Fortnitemares is live in Fortnite, bringing with it a number of fun Quests for players to complete. Among these Quests is one where you’ll need to find a Pumpkin Launcher and use it to eliminate another opponent.
While the second part of this Quest is relatively straightforward, the first part can prove tricky when it comes to actually finding a Pumpkin Launcher. To help, we’ve put together a quick guide on where to find a Pumpkin Launcher and how to use it to eliminate an opponent in Fortnite!

The quick answer to the question of where to find a Pumpkin Launcher in Fortnite as part of Fortnitemares is inside the Sideways, whether that’s the main Sideways location or a Sideways Anomaly. In the map image above, we’ve marked an example of where to find the Sideways.
As for the reason why you can find a Pumpkin Launcher here, it’s because there are special Chests in the Sideways that have a much higher chance of dropping special weapons like the Pumpkin Launcher.
By opening these Chests, you can either get a Rare or Legendary type Pumpkin Launcher (based on our experience and the Pumpkin Launchers we found). In the image below, you’ll see what these Chests look like in the Sideways.
Keep in mind that while you’re in the Sideways, it may take opening a few Chests in the Sideways before you’re able to get a Pumpkin Launcher.
Additionally, there are enemies in the Sideways that will attack you, not to mention enemy players, so it’s worth picking up a weapon or two to help protect you while you’re searching Chests.
Once you get your hands on a Pumpkin Launcher, your next order of business is using it to eliminate an opponent. This is the easy part as the Pumpkin Launcher works like the Rocket Launcher.
All you need to do is aim and fire, if you manage to hit an opponent, you have a good chance of eliminating them in one or two shots, especially if you have the Legendary Pumpkin Launcher.
