Fortnite is host to all sorts of optional quests for players to work through at their leisure. By completing quests, Fortnite players will earn XP to help level up their Battle Pass and earn Battle Stars.
One of the latest quests tasks players with stepping onto a body scanner. By completing this quest, you can earn a quick 30,000 XP for your Battle Pass.
To help make everything easier, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining where to find body scanners and how to step onto a body scanner in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 | Step Onto a Body Scanner
If you’re looking to complete the Legendary Quest in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 that tasks you with stepping onto a body scanner, the first step is to head to a location where a body scanner can be found.
Rather than one set location, there are actually a number of locations where you can find a body scanner. Specifically, you can find a body scanner at most of the new dish installations in Fortnite, like Dampy Dish near Slurpy Swamp.
In the map image above, we’ve circled locations where we found it to be relatively easy to find a body scanner. Once you’ve made it to a dish installation like Dampy Dish, your next order of business is to locate a body scanner and step onto it.
In the image below, we’ll show you what a body scanner looks like in Fortnite.
Like other quests with item objectives, the body scanner will glow blue to indicate it’s something you can interact with. When you spot a body scanner, approach it and stand on the circle for a few seconds.
The body scanner will scan you and you’ll see a light representing this, then you’ll see a notification that you’ve completed the quest and have earned 30,000 XP.
Keep in mind that the location where you step onto a body scanner will vary. For some it may appear in one building, for others it may appear in another.
Keep an eye out for the glowing blue light that indicates where the body scanner is, and try checking the smaller buildings that surround the large main building at the dish installation as they’re where body scanners usually spawn.
