If you’re working to complete XP Quests in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, you may have stumbled across one that asks you to destroy hiding places. When you select this Quest from the list, you won’t see any map markers pop up.
If you’ve never used a hiding place in Fortnite before and are unfamiliar with them, knowing where to go can be a challenge. To help, we’ve put together a quick guide for you on how to destroy hiding places in Fortnite.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 | How to Destroy Hiding Places
The first question that Fortnite players are likely to ask when it comes to the “Destroy Hiding Places” Quest is where to go to find these hiding places. To answer this question, we first need to start by explaining what hiding places are.
In Fortnite, hiding places are exactly what they sound like… places where players can hide from enemies. Hiding places include things like dumpsters, hay bales, and port-o-potties. When you approach one of these hiding places, you should see a prompt on your screen to hide (as seen in the image below).
Finding hiding places is fairly easy as they’re located throughout the Fortnite map. One of our recommendations is to land at Misty Meadows as there are several dumpsters that you can hide in there which makes it perfect for the “Destroy Hiding Places” Quest (given that you need to destroy three hiding places in total).
You can also land at Corny Complex and look around for circular hay bales that serve as hiding places. When it comes to destroying hiding places, this consists of you using your harvesting tool to damage and eventually destroy the hiding place in exchange for building materials like wood.
After you destroy your first hiding place, open your Quest list and check to see if your progress has updated from 0/3 to 1/3. If progress has updated, you’ll know you’re on the right track.
Continue by destroying two more hiding places and the Quest will be marked as complete. As a reward for completing the “Destroy Hiding Places” Quest, you’ll earn 30,000 XP in Fortnite.
