Fortnite players looking to complete the new Week 7 Challenges will likely have a fair bit of difficulty when it comes to collecting books in Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands. The first question that comes up centers around what these books look like. The other is how to find them all.
To help make things easier, we’ve put together a guide showing you where to collect all of the books from Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands in Fortnite.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 Week 7 | Collect Books From Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands
The Week 7 Challenges in Fortnite includes one that asks you to collect 5 books from Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands. In total, there are 3 collectible books in Holly Hedges and 2 collectible books in Sweaty Sands.
In the map image above, we’ve circled where you can find each of these 5 books in both Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands. When you visit one of these locations, you’ll need to be on the lookout for a glowing book that you can interact with.
Other guides online have shown tan books, but these are incorrect. The books you need to collect look like this:
Note that a number of other players are working on completing this same Week 7 Challenge, so make sure you collect weapons and supplies before entering the homes in Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands and collecting books.
To speed up the process, we’ve included images of where to find each and every book along with a brief description of where to go and what to look for.
Where to Find Book #1 in Holly Hedges
The first book in Holly Hedges can be found in a yellow house at the northern edge of Holly Hedges. Inside a room with dark purple walls, you’ll find a book hanging out on the floor to the right of an old bookcase.
Unfortunately, when we found this book someone had already gone through the house with their Pickaxe knocking down walls and furniture, so this book’s location will look a little different for you when you head inside.
Where to Find Book #2 in Holly Hedges
The second book in Holly Hedges can be found by exiting the yellow house where you found the first book and heading east to the upper right corner area of Holly Hedges. There, you’ll spot a light brown house.
Inside this light brown house, you’ll find the book on the floor of a small room with two windows, a bookcase, and an old TV.
Where to Find Book #3 in Holly Hedges
The third and final book in the Holly Hedges area can be found by exiting the light brown house and heading south and looking for a tall green house near the bottom right corner of Holly Hedges.
Inside, you’ll find the book on the floor to the right side of a large fireplace. Note you may need to close the door you used to enter this room in the green house in order to spot this book.
Where to Find Book #4 in Sweaty Sands
The fourth book can be found by heading over to Sweaty Sands. The first book in Sweaty Sands is located in a house at the bottom right corner of the area.
It has faded tan sides and a front entrance made of brick. Inside, you’ll find the book on the floor to the right of a small bookcase near a bed and two small windows.
Where to Find Book #5 in Sweaty Sands
The fifth and final book that you’ll need to collect in Fortnite can be found by exiting the first house in Sweaty Sands and heading west down the road towards the next section of housing.
The house you’re looking for is light green on the bottom, wood paneled at the top, and has a large palm tree beside it.
When you enter this house through the white door, head straight back and you’ll spot the book on the floor between a wood bed and a small kitchen area.
Once you’ve successfully collected your fifth and final book, you should receive a notification indicating that you’ve earned yourself 20,000 XP for completing the challenge.
You can make progress on this challenge over the course of several matches, you don’t have to do it all in one.
For example, we collected four out of the five books in one match, then realized by the end of that match that we’d missed one book. Jumping back in, we collected the final book and were able to complete the challenge.
