Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 Week 6 | How to Blow Up Fishing Holes

In the Week 6 Challenges for Fortnite, you’ll encounter two separate tasks that ask you to blow up fishing holes at different locations.

For those wondering how to blow up a fishing hole in Fortnite, all you need to do is either throw a Grenade into a fishing hole, or fire missiles from a Motorboat into a fishing hole.

The Motorboat option is a little easier as you can maneuver around in the water from fishing hole to fishing hole as opposed to needing to run around and throw a Grenade from places like the pier at Sweaty Sands or from the shore.

The method you use is entirely up to you, but those are the two primary ways to blow up fishing holes in Fortnite.

As for the Challenges themselves, the first says you need to blow up three fishing holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond.

When we completed this Challenge, we did so by blowing up fishing holes at one of these locations, Sweaty Sands. You don’t need to visit each individual location, nor do you need to complete this Challenge in a single match.

If you only blow up two fishing holes during one match, you can enter another match and blow up the third and final fishing hole and cross the Challenge off your list.

The second Challenge that tasks you with blowing up three fishing holes at Lazy Lake Island, Lake Canoe, and near Steamy Stacks.

If you’re having trouble finding these locations as two of them aren’t named locations marked on your map, refer to the image above as we’ve circled each location.

Once you reach one of these locations, you’ll need to either find a Grenade or a Motorboat to use to blow up fishing holes.

Once you have the right materials, look for fishing holes out in the water as marked by a school of swimming fish moving around in a circle. There will also be a small disturbance on the water’s surface above where the fish are swimming.

If you’re using a Grenade, all you need to do is toss it into the center of the fishing hole and it should explode after a momentary pause. If you’re using a Motorboat, press the same button you’d use to shoot a weapon.

On PC, it’s LMB (left mouse button). Once you’ve destroyed all the necessary fishing holes, you can start working on other Week 6 Challenges, like the one that asks you to destroy Fishing Rod Barrels.
