Fortnite Battle Royale Best Places to Land

Moisty Mire / Prison

Moisty Mire is by far one of the best places to land in Fortnite Battle Royale, for several reasons. First, there is a Prison just to the northwest, which is a great place to find weapons and loot. The Prison also has plenty of places to hide if you’re looking to camp out there for a while.

Second, Moisty Mire not only has a large “loot tree” that can contain multiple chests, the trees around the swamp are also great for harvesting tons of wood used for building. Moisty Mire also tends to be less crowded than other central points of interest, given that the swamp is at the very southeast corner of the map.

Tomato Town

Just southeast of Anarchy Acres is Tomato Town, the medium-sized town that features a huge restaurant and a nearby Gas Station. The Tomato Town restaurant usually has a chest tucked behind the counter inside, along with plenty of other areas to search for loot. Be sure to search the nearby tunnel as well, since the wall usually contains a few hidden chests.

There’s tons of abandoned cars in Tomato Town sprinkled about, which are great for mining metal. However, destroying cars in Fortnite can cause their alarms to go off, alerting enemies to your location. Make sure to have a weapon ready in case you run into any opponents.

Greasy Grove

Greasy Grove has tons of buildings that contain hidden chests and loot, making it one of the best places to land in Fortnite Battle Royale. Try looting the Gun Shop first, as there’s typically a chest hidden behind the main counter inside. The big Durrr Burger fast food restaurant will usually have loot in it as well, so check this building next.

The only downside to landing at Greasy Grove is the fact that it’s a pretty popular location, which means you are more likely to run into enemies if you hang out here too long. However, the buildings in this area make great hiding spots, which are perfect for posting up with your squad and zoning out opponents. Keep an eye out for other players and loot Greasy Grove quickly to gain an advantage.

Haunted Hills

Haunted Hills is one of the five new points of interest that came with the map update for Fortnite Battle Royale. Haunted Hills is a good place to land at the start, since it’s usually not too crowded. If you’re one of the first to land at Haunted Hills, immediately head to the Mausoleum to search for hidden chests. If you are fortunate enough to get a good sniper rifle, the main building has a tower that overlooks the area and is great for sniping.

Depending on where the circle is moving, you can head north from Haunted Hills to reach Junk Junction, which has plenty of cars to mine for scrap metal and resources.

Wailing Woods Northeast Tower

There is a large tower to the northeast of Wailing Woods that overlooks the water. This tower is one of the best places to land in Fortnite Battle Royale for finding chests and loot. There will usually be at least three chests spawned here.

When making your descent from the Battle Bus, try to land on the top of this tower and make your way down the structure. Break your way through the floors and search the tower thoroughly to ensure you don’t miss any loot. From here, you can head west to find a few more chests at the ice cream truck nearby.

There you have it. Now that you know where some of the best places to land are in Fortnite Battle Royale, you should be one step closer to winning the game and achieving victory.
