For Honor – Vanguard and Non-Vanguard Heroes

Many of the daily contracts in For Honor require you to play as a Vanguard or Non-Vanguard hero. This article provides a quick explanation of who is a For Honor Non-Vanguard hero and who the game considers to be a Vanguard hero. Read on to find out which heroes you need to use to complete these contracts.

When you have a daily contract that requires a Vanguard hero, that simply means you need to play one designated “easy” to play heroes. These Vanguard heroes are considered the well-rounded hero for each faction and should work well for beginners. They are also the three “free” heroes. That’s any one of the heroes that you didn’t have to pay to unlock in order to customize.
