During your early hours of Dune: Awakening, you’ll inhale spice, run away from sandworms, and participate in desert architecture. The more you play, the more secrets Arakkis will reveal, and you’ll eventually be tasked to locate Moisture-sealed caves containing Fremen loot for the taking.

The marker in Dune Awakening isn’t always that reliable, and if you’re struggling to find these moisture-sealed caves, I’m here to show you the way.

Moisture Sealed Cave in Dune Awakening

During the main mission “Echoes of the Past”, you must locate a moisture-sealed cave to gather micro-sandwich fabric and an EMF generator.

  • Like me, you might be under the impression that the purple cave marker on the map is where this cave is, but that’s not the case.
  • Instead, you want to follow the direction of the light brown cave marker on your compass. It looks like this:
  • Follow the marker, you might have to take account of the elevation, but the cave has a very distinct look and a seal.
  • Approach it and use your knife to pierce through the seal.
  • Once you’re inside, you can avoid the fire by your path using your Shigawire Claw if you’re a trooper. The fire doesn’t do much damage anyway, and you can climb the sides and make your way forward.
  • Loot the water container and the chest on the right. It contains the following items:
    • 56x Solari
    • 3x EMF Generator
    • 4x Micro-sandwich Fabric
    • 3x Salvaged Metal
  • Make your way back to the entrance of the cave, but instead of going on the right path, take the left instead. Yes, it’s engulfed in flames, but you’ll make it, don’t worry. Just use that Shigawire Claw again. Don’t forget the container on the right side.
  • This container has the following items:
    • 113x Solari
    • 1x Literjon
    • 5x Micro-sandwich Fabric

That’s it, and you’ll have completed the mission. After that, you’ll be instructed to return back to your base. This is a good introduction to moisture-sealed caves. Make sure you keep an eye on your compass for other caves showing up.
