In Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, you get most of your job-exclusive artifact gear at level 45, with the last piece obtained at level 50. While some may think they’ve got a good set of gear on their hands, that’s simply not the case. In fact, with just the artifact gear set, you would be woefully undergeared for most of the end game content. However, there’s so much end game gear to be had, it can be difficult to determine what the best gear is and where to start.
You’re almost always going to perform better with higher level gear. The real trick is to figure out what you should be going for first. This is especially difficult when you’re gearing multiple jobs at once. It takes quite awhile to obtain a full set of level 90 Myth gear just for one job, plus you have to worry about which is better between the level 90 Myth gear, level 90 Extreme Primal gear, or level 90 Allagan gear. You’re going to need some supplementary gear to go after while you’re working your way up to the level 100 gear in the second Coil of Bahamut.
