Tips For Taking Outposts

Each Outpost will reward players with 100 Ethanol the first time they capture it. However, players can choose to scavenge the Outpost instead of taking it, which provides an Ethanol boost but returns its ownership to the Highwaymen. Afterwards, it will become harder to take the Outpost again. On the other hand, tougher challenges yield higher rewards. You’ll have to decide what you’re up for.

In the meantime, we recommend bringing Pastor Jerome, Nana, and Hurk as your Gun for Hire companions when attacking Outposts. These three can do some major damage, especially during the first run when enemies aren’t expecting you.

Pastor Jerome is an ideal choice if you prefer up-close combat. His shotgun packs quite a punch, and he’ll make short work of enemies. Alternatively, you can instruct him to quietly eliminate targets in stealth mode.

Meanwhile, Nina can take most foes out with one shot using her sniper rifle. Mark the targets you want taken care of and instruct her to take the shots. In some instances, you may never have to fire a single bullet yourself.

Hurk brings the heavy firepower, and he’s great to have around when the Outposts pose more of a challenge. His rocket launcher will blow up most high-level targets. If the initial explosion doesn’t kill them, the fall after being tossed up into the sky might. In any case, there aren’t a lot of problems in Far Cry New Dawn that a few well-placed explosions won’t solve.

That’s all for now. Good luck with taking back Hope County!
