“Exclude 2P Premade Teams” Option Added

When playing Ranked Matches alone, you can enable it to avoid being on the same team as 2P premade teams.

  • If you enable this option, you will not be matched with a 2P premade team.
  • Please note that enabling this function may result in longer matchmaking times.
  • We are increasing the loss compensation benefit for a 1P queue matched with a 2P premade team from 5 points to 8 points. Keep in mind that this change will only apply when you lose rank points (RP) and will not be converted into plus points.
  • Since this is an experimental function without a reference implementation, we will make additional adjustments based on the actual matchmaking situation after implementation.

Custom Game Settings

Various convenience functions have now been added to make it easier for Custom Game hosts to organize teams involving multiple players, including friendly competitions.

  • Team Movement Restriction Option
    • A button has been added to restrict team movement.
    • When movement is restricted, players, except the host, will not be able to move to empty slots.
  • Team Shuffle: Shuffles the teams of participating players.
  • Random: Shuffles randomly.
  • Balanced: Participants are placed in a Snake Draft based on their rank points. (Top 1/3 in ascending rank points → Next 1/3 in descending rank points → Final 1/3 in ascending rank points)
  • Random Segment: Places the first player from each team in Group A, the second player in Group B, and the third player in Group C, and randomizes them within each group.
  • Players with no rank history are considered to have 0 rank points.
  • Assign Rank Points Function
    • To enable even distribution, you can randomize the rank points of other participating players in your custom settings.
    • You can specify a specific number or choose a tier.
    • The assigned rank points are only valid within the Custom Match.
  • Rank Information Check Function
    • You can check the tier and rank points of players in a Custom Match.
    • If you assigned rank points, they’ll be displayed in the assigned tier and rank points.
  • Team Numbers Random Change Option
    • An option to randomly shuffle team numbers at the start of the game.

Season Operation Policy Changes

  • Seasonal soft resets will be more relaxed than before, ensuring that tiers are not overly compressed.
  • The regular season will be two weeks longer, and the preseason will be reduced or even removed. Adjustments may be made based on the size of the seasonal patch.
  • The Season 2 Ranked Season will run until February 15th 00:00 AM (UTC).
  • A Season 3 preview will take place on Wednesday, February 7th during the Dev Stream.
