Dragon Ball FighterZ Local Multiplayer

DragDragon Ball FighterZ is what we like to play on our devices. While many people have been playing the game online, there are plenty of people who want to play locally and even wondering if you can play Dragon Ball FighterZ offline.

This article covers local multiplayer in Dragon Ball FighterZ so that you can play on the same console when people come over for a session and just offline play in general.

While in most fighting games, this is pretty straightforward, in Dragon Ball FighterZ, local multiplayer can be a little confusing at first, especially with the lobby system. Read on to learn how to do local multiplayer in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Local Multiplayer

To play local multiplayer in Dragon Ball FighterZ you need to enter an online or offline lobby. Once you’re in a lobby you can run over to the northwest corner (far right side) to the Cell Games Arena. Speak to the man standing in front of the area to start a local multiplayer match. You can play a normal one vs. one match, or you can start a tournament with up to 16 players (all local).

An alternate way you can get to local multiplayer if my pressing L2 (PS4) or LT (Xbox) to bring up the warp menu. From here you can access all game modes from a menu instead of having to navigate the lobby. Simply scroll down to the Local Battle option and you’ll be warped to the Cell Games Arena where you can speak to the person outside and start a one vs. one match or a tournament.

Playing Offline

If you don’t want to bother with the online lobby, but your console is still connected to the internet, you can choose the Offline Lobby option once you’ve selected your region (North American for example). If the network is down, either for Dragon Ball FighterZ, Xbox Live, or PSN, and you’re getting an error there’s still a workaround you can perform to access the offline lobby.

To get around any kind of network error issue, simply disable the internet connection in the settings menu of your console of choice, and start the game again. If the game loads with no internet connection, it automatically asks if you’d like to start playing in an offline lobby. In most cases, this is a Sony or Microsoft maintenance, but we also know people have been having network issues with the game.
