Doki Doki Literature Club Plus | How to Reset Your Game
- Resetting your game requires you to use the in-game desktop
- To do this, select the game’s Settings
- Select Exit to exit to the in-game desktop
- From there, select Files (as seen in the image above)
- Select the .sh file called “Reset”
- When you open this file, the game will automatically reset, allowing you to start over from the beginning (collectible progress will carry over)
The first question Doki Doki Literature Club Plus players may have is whether it’s possible to reset your game and start over again from scratch? The answer to this question is yes, you can reset your game. To do this, you’ll need to utilize the new in-game desktop feature.
In a previous guide, we explained how you can use the in-game desktop to access (and delete) character files. You can also use the in-game desktop to read mail and listen to music, and yes, you can use the in-game desktop to reset your game and start over.
To do this, you’ll need to select “Settings” while playing the game then “Exit” to exit to the in-game desktop. From the in-game desktop, you’ll need to select “Files” as seen in the image at the top of this guide.
In Files, you’re going to want to look for a .sh file called “Reset” and when you select this file and open it, the game’s campaign will reset back to the beginning. So, if you made a mistake and you’re looking to do something like unlock a certain ending, you can reset the game fresh and try again.
Note that resetting the game won’t erase progress you’ve made in regards to collectibles, the only thing it resets is the campaign itself so don’t worry about losing the other things you’ve collected while playing.
