As new Destiny 2 expansions and seasons are released, the max power level is constantly being increased. With the game being a looter-shooter and players regularly grinding for better gear and weapons, it’s no surprise that Bungie has elected to slowly increase the limit over time.
With the new Season of Arrivals update live, Bungie has once again increased the max power level in Destiny 2 In this guide, we are going to take a look at the new max power level for the Season of Arrival update.
Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals Max Power Level
With the launch of Season of Arrivals on June 9, the Destiny 2 max power level has been increased from 1,000 to 1,050. Further, players who have Pinnacle gear will be able to reach 1,060. Those who have been playing the game since launch might remember that the original max power level was set at 300.
However, over the course of three years, Bungie has added tons of new content for players to grind through and has slowly been increasing the max level as needed.
It’s also worth noting that players who have unlocked the Seed of Silver Wings artifact by completing the In the Face of Darkness quest will be able to increase their max power level beyond 1,050 during the season.
However, once the season comes to a close, the Seed of Silver Wings artifact will no longer be active and players’ power levels will drop back down until they collect the new seasonal artifact. However, Season of Arrivals is set to last until September, as it aims to lay the groundwork for the Beyond Light expansion, so there is plenty of time to go beyond the max level.

If we had to guess, the max power level in Destiny 2 will also receive a hefty increase with the Beyond Light expansion, so be sure to keep your eye out for that this fall.
In the past, the max power level has increased by 200 when a new expansion releases and is then increased by around 20-50 with the launch of every new season between expansions. Since Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 3 isn’t coming anytime soon and has committed to three new expansions that will last until 2022, we’d expect the max power level to continue to increase over the years.
