Destiny 2 Light the Fires Season of Dawn Guide – Iron Banner Quest

The questline to ensure that you’re ready for the Season of Dawn Iron Banner festivities is called Light the Fires. You’re going to have to complete the whole initial chain that this quest kicks off if you want to actually turn in your tokens for anything useful. You’ll be limited to weapon drops until you’ve finished this initial questline too.

We’re going to go through what you need to do for Light the Fires:

  • Kill 3 enemies with Supers
  • Capture 10 zones
  • Kill 30 enemies

We note that with previous Iron Banner quests in this fashion (RIP Season of the Undying), things like capturing zones and kills with certain weapons will carry over into other quests in the same chain. For example, if you use a scout rifle to get some of those 30 kills, they’ll count towards the progress you need to get scout rifle final blows in the quest immediately after Light the Fires.

We’ve got a list of the next few quests that come after Light the Fires, and we’ve noted them down for you below:

  1. Iron Sights
  2. Pump Iron
  3. Death Metal
  4. Iron Rain
  5. Iron Cast

As far as we can tell, all of the quests in this chain kicked off by the Destiny 2 Light the Fires quest will involve you capturing zones, getting different sorts of killing blows with weapons, defeating a certain number of opponents and completing matches. You’ll be familiar with this formula from previous Iron Banner shenanigans, and as we’ve noted above, progress does carry over from quest to quest so it shouldn’t take too long to get all your slaughtering requirements ticked off.
