If you spend any amount of time with Destiny 2, then you’re going to end up farming for something, and there are a ton of materials and resources for you to collect if you want to unlock every item and complete every quest. Datalattice is just one of those resources, and today we’re going to show you everything that you need to know in order to farm Datalattice in Destiny 2 and get all of the resources that you need to complete any quest requiring it.
How to Farm Datalattice
Datalattice is one of the five planetary resources that players can find and collect in Destiny 2. This item can only be collected from Nessus, and the farming method for this resource is quite similar to the one that we’ve used in our guides on how to farm Phaseglass. You’ll find this resource by simply exploring the world and looking out for it in all the nooks and crannies that you can explore.
Unlike other resources, Datalattice holds a more digital look, similar to the look that Vex data nodes hold. Collecting a node of Datalattice will grant you one of the more Common versions of the material, and sometimes you’ll even receive the Rare version of the resource, which you’ll need for some other quests out there.
One of the easiest ways to find Datalattice is to equip a Ghost Shell that pinpoints it in the world around you. These can be dropped randomly, or sometimes even purchased from the various vendors throughout the Destiny 2 world. This isn’t the most effective way to farm for Datalattice, though, and you may want to look into other methods, some of which we’ve outlined below.
The best way to farm for Datalattice, or any other resource for that matter is to find a node, collect it, then make your way to the nearest loading zone. Once you load into the new zone, instantly turn around and make your way back to the node. If you do this quick enough, you should be able to farm the node a second time, allowing you to get double the Datalattice from one node.
It should be noted, though, that the above method will only last so long, because Bungie has implemented a cooldown to resources. If you collect a resource too quickly and in too large a bundle, you’ll be unable to get the resource from nodes that you collect. When this happens, head off and do something else, then come back later on. If you’re having trouble finding Datalattice, then try heading to a Lost Sector on Nessus and looking for it there. You can often find these resources inside of Lost Sectors quite a bit.
