It should be noted that this is only a trophy guide for the first Crash Bandicoot game, so you will be unable to acquire it in any of the other games including in the trilogy bundle.

How to Get A Hidden Gem Trophy

The key to getting this trophy is to first learn how to find all the Color Gems. Luckily we’ve already detailed those challenges in our guide, so take a look at that to learn more about Color Gems and the challenges associated with them.

The earliest opportunity you get to start earning Color Games is during the level “Lost City”, which takes place on the second island that you travel to. In order to acquire this Color Gem you will need to destroy every single box in “Lost City” without dying. This will reward you with the Green Gem. Once you’ve acquire the Green Gem, head back to the first island and play through the level Jungle Rollers. Having the Green Gem will open up a new path, which you can complete to earn this trophy. To enter the new path, look for the colored platform and then step on it to get started.

Crash Bandicoot Tips

Here are some tips to help you along your journey to unlocking this trophy.

As you make your way through the levels, keep a look out for boxes with the Crash Bandicoot face on them. These reward you with extra lives which can be used if you die in the game.

You should also look out for boxes with the AkuAku mask on them, as they will allow you to take damage from enemies and the environment, they’ll also reward you with a short spurt of invincibility if you can collect three of them at once. It should be noted, though, this invincibility will not save you from falling into holes.
