Players will then be asked to change their display name by entering a new one on the website. It will also help you find a unique tagline of numbers to be used in conjunction with your new ID that is also used by the game to identify you.
Once you are satisfied with your new Riot ID, click submit, and your official Valorant display name will now change. Boot up the game, and your new Riot ID will be on display and ready for your next match.
It is important to note that you can change your Riot ID whenever you would like. The reasoning for this is that you are only allowed to change your Riot ID for free once every 30 days, so once you change your display name for the tactical shooter, you will have to wait 30 days before you can make a new one. With this in mind, players should be wary of what they change their Valorant display name to, as they will be stuck with it for at least 30 days and will not be able to alter it in any way.
You will want to think a bit before making the official alteration if you do not want to be unhappy with your display name change. You are going to have to go by this Riot ID for a lot of matches if you continue to play with it in the 30 days until you are allowed to make a new one again.
