Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Nacon’s newest entry in the long-standing Test Drive series, has been released into Advanced Access for players who purchased the nearly $80 Gold Edition. However, those looking to jump behind the wheel a week in advance are reportedly unable to connect to Test Drive Unlimited servers at all, leaving them with a Gold Edition and nothing to show for it except a ‘Failed to Login’ server error. Are Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Servers Down?

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to fix the Failed to Login error, as it seems to be due to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown servers being overloaded. However, some users on Reddit have stated that they’ve been able to successfully connect by repeatedly trying until they’re able to get through.

Upon release, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown servers were experiencing a very high load due to the number of players trying to connect. Being an always-online game, playing the game requires an internet connection and connectivity to the game’s servers at all times.

At 10 AM PST on September 5, 2024, the official Test Drive Unlimited X (Twitter) account posted an update regarding the connection issues.

In the post, a longer article posted on Steam is linked, detailing the team’s plans to fix server issues and stating that they’ve increased server capacity to allow more people to connect. Although they assure that they’re working hard on fixing the network issues, they were not able to confirm a definitive time of when they would be online for everyone.

Unfortunately, it seems the only solution is to wait for the Test Drive Unlimited team to remedy the server issues. At this time, there haven’t been any announcements regarding any type of in-game compensation for those who purchased Gold Editions to play the game early.
