Death Must Die is a great new roguelite bullet hell RPG game made by Real Archive, and it’s taking the indie scene by storm. At some point, you unlock the Fishing Pole. Let’s see if you can engage in an in-game pastime by fishing in Death Must Die or not.
What Does the Fishing Pole Do in Death Must Die?
At this moment in Death Must Die, the Fishing Pole does not have a function in the game and you cannot fish. At some point, you will get a notification that you have unlocked the Fishing Pole after one of your runs. An educated guess would be that the Fishing Pole is important for Death Must Die and that there might be a reason why an entire unlock is dedicated to it. I have found the Fishing Pole, and it really is just there to enrich the dark atmosphere of the game’s setting.
Where is the Fishing Pole in Death Must Die?
The Fishing Pole in Death Must Die is located in the southwest of the stairs that lead you into the fabled “Water.” It is just under the campfire and the position of the Rogue (Assassin) character called Nixi. The Fishing Pole is placed firmly into a nearby stone, and the fishing lure is cast into the Water.
You can see the fishing lure bobbing up and down, causing miniature ripples in the Water.
Do the Fish Ever Bite the Fishing Lure in Death Must Die?
I’ve left Death Must Die on my secondary monitor for a while to check if any fish will bite, hoping that there might be a secret item or powerup waiting for me, but in all honesty, nothing happened. With a clear conscience, I must state that the Fishing Pole is something that might have a function in the future.
There’s no escaping it with a side activity in this game; we must unlock all characters in Death Must Die and defeat Death.
