Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies: How To Exfil

Exfil successfully and get extra XP!

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Zombies mode is a round-based experience where you enter a map, tackle a few objectives, and eventually have the option to Exfil. However, this Exfil opportunity isn’t available right from the start; instead, it appears only after you’ve progressed through several rounds. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the entire process, from starting objectives to reaching Exfil.

An Exfil opportunity presents itself when you first reach Round 11 in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Raptor One on Terminus and Blanchard on the Liberty Falls map call out for Excil availability. You can also notice a hand-held radio device icon on the map after a short announcement by respective chopper pilots.

You will miss the Exfil if Round 11 progresses to 12. Once you miss the window, the next Exfil will present itself every 5 rounds, i.e. rounds 16, 21, and onwards.

Upon making a request to leave the area, a chopper will come to rescue you out of the zone. You get one minute and 30 seconds to reach the designated zone, which is usually marked on the map.

If you do not reach in time, a cut-scene will trigger where you will see the chopper overrun by zombies and destroyed in the process.

If you make it to the Exfil location within the time frame mentioned above, a new timer and a brief objective will start. Typically you would be asked to eliminate at least 35 zombies in one minute because, according to the pilot, the area filled with zombies below the chopper is ‘hot’.

Keep in mind that the required zombie kill count and time limit can vary, especially if you’re beyond round 30. Both the number of zombies to eliminate and the time allowed increase as you progress past this point.

Best Strategy to Exfil

Even if you decide to take the Exfil route as early as round 11, you’ll still need to be well-prepared. Simply having higher-level Pack-a-Punched weapons won’t be enough—you’ll need more firepower.

We recommend crafting additional Support and Tactical equipment using the Salvage at the Crafting Table before you start the Exfil. The following listed equipment will greatly improve your chances of eliminating the 35 zombies within a minute, a challenging task for most players.

  • Hellstorm – unlocked by default
  • Cymbal Monkey – unlocks at level 18
  • LDBR – unlocks at level 21
  • Decoy Grenade – unlocks at level 35
  • Chopper Gunner – unlocks at level 45

Use everything you have to be able to defeat the zombies within the small time frame to Exfil successfully in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies.
