Infinity Ward and Activision excited fans when they revealed that post-launch content in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare would be distributed much differently than previous entries in the franchise. Instead of a paid content pass and loot boxes, players will be getting new content for free in the form of seasons. Fortunately for those who have been waiting to see what precisely these seasons would entail, the start date and content for Season 1 has been finally announced.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 1
Season 1 will be the “biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history” and will feature a variety of new things for players to experience. This Season 1 content will include the return of three fan-favorite multiplayer maps from previous games in Crash, Vacant, and Shipment. There will also be a new Ground War map called Port added in Season 1. Three more Gunfight maps, three new multiplayer game modes, five new special ops activities, two new weapons, and two new operators will also be joining the party when the season’s start date arrives.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 1 Start Date
Players will be able to experience all of this exciting new content when the season’s start date takes place on December 3rd. All of the original content for the first-person shooter will be available for all platforms when the season’s start date arrives next month. Gone are the days where PlayStation 4 or Xbox One players would get new content before their counterparts.
