Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: How to Use Quips

Players can unlock more than one quip for their Operator by making their way through the season's Battle Pass. Here's how to change your quip.

There are lots of different ways for players to express themselves in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Whether it be through skins, charms, quips, or something else, it’s easy to bring a little bit of your personality into the game. While some forms of expression are clear and easy to use, others are not. In this guide, we are going to explain how to use quips in Modern Warfare.

How to Use Quips in Modern Warfare

Before we explain how to use a quip, let’s start by explaining what it is. Essentially, a quip is a one-line “catchphrase” that your Operator will use after performing a “Finishing Move” on an opponent. Further, to use a quip in Modern Warfare, players will need to perform a Finishing Move on an opposing player. When the move is complete, your Operator will say their quip as a “final word” of sorts to rub some extra salt in your opponent’s wound.

As indicated above, quips can only be used when performing a Finishing Move execution. Unlike other forms of expression, quips cannot be used with the press of a button whenever you’d like, and will only be triggered under the specific circumstance mentioned above. Each Operator will have a unique quip that is unlocked with the character, and players can earn more by working their way through the season’s Battle Pass.

After you’ve unlocked more than one quip for an Operator, you can change it by going into the Operator menu from within the multiplayer area. From the menu, you’ll be able to select the Operator you’d like to customize, and then you’ll be able to tab over to the “Quips” menu on each character. From there, simply select the quip that you’d like to use, save your changes, and you’ll be good to go. Now, next time you obliterate an enemy, you’ll be able to remind them who is in charge.
