Call of Duty Mobile is surprisingly still chugging along successfully given the amount of doubt players seemed to have over the mobile adaptation. Call of Duty: Mobile | How to Unlock New Katana Operator Skill

Following the latest update that rolled out on July 29th as part of the Days of Summer event in Call of Duty Mobile, a new Katana operator skill became available. Just like other skills, the Katana is accessible for any loadout once unlocked. The trick is, however, unlocking the skill in the first place.

In order to unlock the latest operator skill, players will need to complete 10 challenges in order to unlock the Katana operator skill reward. For those that are unfamiliar with the 10 matches now available, here is the full list:

  • Play 10 Frontline Matches
  • Occupy Point 10 Times in Hardpoint Matches
  • Play 8 Domination Matches
  • Play 10 MP Matches with Friends
  • Place First of MVP in 4 MP Matches
  • Play 30 TDM Matches
  • Kill 5 enemies with Operator skills
  • Play 3 Gulag Gunfight Matches
  • Cumulative Login for 5 days
  • Kill 5 Enemies with DR-H in any mode

Some of these challenges are super easy to unlock, such as playing x amount of each mode. Given that TDM is by far the most popular mode, playing 30 of those bad boys is actually fairly easy. The trickier ones are the ones that rely on more skill, such as placing first of MVP in 4 multiplayer matches, killing 5 enemies with operator skills, and taking out enemies with DR-H.

Others like the “play 3 Gulag Gunfight Matches,” “Cumulative login for 5 days,” and playing various modes are the easy part. Sit down, get comfy, and enjoy the ride because you’re going to need to play quite a bit in order to make your way through these challenges.

Given that these challenges are only available until August 7th, as well as the Katana operator skill, you’re going to want to dive in now if you have the desire to earn this particular aspect of the game. Believe me, it’s worth it.

Call of Duty Mobile is available now on Android and iOS.
