Although most of the popularity comes from Warzone, the MTZ Interceptor is still clearly the best semi-auto rifle in Modern Warfare 3 Season 1. To take full advantage of the two-shot machine, I have the best attachments for the scariest marksman rifle.
Best Loadout for the MTZ Interceptor in MW3 Season 1
- Barrel: MTZ Longshot Pro Barrel
- Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
- Rear Grip: MTZ Factory Rear Grip
- Stock: MCW Blackjack
- Optic: Nydar Model 2023
The two most integral attachments here are the MTZ Longshot Pro Barrel and the underbarrel support grip. On the barrel, we get plenty of additional bullet velocity and range that ensure the Interceptor is deadly all over the map. Both attachments will also provide plenty of control so that our centering between shots is much more manageable.
Next, we have the Blackjack stock and the MTZ Factory Rear Grip. The Blackjack provides one last boost to recoil control, and I’ve even dabbled in control for the rear grip. However, I found that the flinch-resistant rear grip is far more beneficial. Unless you hit a headshot, you need at least two shots to kill. There are tons of opportunities for players to flinch you in between shots, so the boost helps.
On the fifth slot, I like to use the Nydar Model 2023 optic. You can always swap that out for something like a Slate Reflector, or you could even add the Shadowstrike Suppressor instead. Those are all personal preferences for the MW3 MTZ Interceptor.
We already know that the Interceptor is set to get a nerf in Warzone, but it remains to be seen whether that translates to Multiplayer as well. If it does, then this guide will have an adjusted setup for this Season 1 marksman rifle.
