The Best MTZ Interceptor Loadout for Modern Warfare 3

One tap rifle

Marksman rifles are the main options for semi-automatic weapons in Modern Warfare 3 and the MTZ Interceptor is one of the first picks in the class. Even with the increased time to kill for MW3, marksman rifles like the MTZ can take enemies out in a single headshot as long as you have the loadout to back it up.

Best Attachments for the MTZ Interceptor in MW3

By default, the MTZ is already fairly slow and the weapon has a decent amount of kick on each shot. We still need to control that kick without making the weapon move like a bag of rocks every time you aim in. For that reason, I use four attachments and there is even a fifth optional slot with more ADS speed.

Best Loadout for the MTZ Interceptor in MW3:

  • Barrel: MTZ Clinch Pro Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip
  • Rear Grip: Bruen TR-24 Assault Grip
  • Optic: MK. 23 Reflector
  • Stock: Bruen Archangel MK2 (Optional)

The pro barrel and the Kimura grip are the main sources of control for my marksman rifle build. If you go any heavier on the barrel slot, the weapon takes far too long to ADS. I tried to use heavier barrels for more control, and it made the weapon feel twice as heavy. Using the assault grip on the rear is a better option than trying to eliminate any recoil entirely.

In my own loadout, I end the attachments with the MK. 23 Reflector optic for a better precision sight. After all, the goal is to hit easy headshots. However, you can add the Archangel stock as a way to boost the mobility. This is going to add a big hit to your control, so be prepared to have more recoil in between each shot.

Best Class Setup for the MTZ Interceptor in MW3

Every good loadout for a weapon needs the right perks to back it up, and the MTZ Interceptor is no different. Despite the weapon being a “ranged” option, it’s perfect for mid-range, and it can easily one tap players in close quarters. To reach that level, though, the right equipment is necessary.

Best Perks and Equipment for the MTZ Interceptor in Modern Warfare 3:

  • Vest: Infantry Vest
  • Gloves: Quick Grip Gloves
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Field Equipment: Trophy System
  • Sidearm: WSP Stinger

The Quick Grip gloves and the WSP Stinger are integral to this setup so you are safe in any scenario. Like battle rifles, sidearms can be a fantastic way to compensate for a low ammo capacity or a slow reload. In most cases, ammo won’t be an issue on the MTZ, but you may need to swap at a moment’s notice.

Perks like Covert Sneakers and Ghost will make you as silent as ever while keeping you off the radar when UAV is active. As long as you are moving around the map, UAV won’t catch you, and enemies can’t abuse their headsets.

How to Use the MTZ Interceptor in MW3

As a marksman rifle, mid-range fights are your best friend. You might think long-range is a great idea, but I quickly realized that the MTZ Interceptor is a three-shot kill to the chest at longer distances. When I got close enough to enemies on the map, I was able to one tap them in the head with no issues.

Having a 150 HP setting by default makes marksman rifles a bit harder to use this year. With the full setup from above, you’ll be able to quickly acquire targets and take enemies down in two shots. Just watch your positioning and make sure the Stinger is ready to go.
