5 Funny Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Mods

Merry Christmas, Hyrule

Kicking off our list of funny Breath of the Wild mods is one that transforms the land of Hyrule into a winter wonderland–that’s right, it’s Christmas time! This mod turns rain into snow and green vegetation into a snowy tundra. Of course, Link has some holiday-themed gear to go along with the Christmas theme.

If you’d like to download the holiday-themed mod, you can do so right here.

The Shrek Mod

This Breath of the Wild mod makes us question if modding should even exist, and I’m truly sorry to even mention it–but I can’t resist. This is a rather simple mod that turns the cyclops enemy Hinox into, well, Shrek.

If you’d like to download the Shrek mod, you can do so right here.

Waluigi’s the Winner!

This hilarious Breath of the Wild mod is built around everyone’s favorite Mushroom Kingdom hero…Waluigi! It’s kind of fun to see one of Nintendo’s well known-characters hopping franchises into another well-known title, but it’s also a bit weird. Explore around Hyrule, get a Wario shield, and much more with this mod.

If you’d like to download the Waluigi mod, you can do so right here.

Create Your Own Link

This Breath of the Wild mod doesn’t stray too far away from the original game and simply allows players to customize Link. This is something that fans have been requesting for a long time, but Nintendo was never able to accommodate the well-known design of Link. But thanks to this mod, your dream of a Link with pink hair can finally come true!

If you’d like to download the Create Your Own Link mod, you can do so right here.

Thomas the Tank

Choo-Choo! I don’t know why, but it seems like every well-known game has a Thomas the Tank mod, so of course, Breath of the Wild is no different. As you might expect, this hilarious mod replaces Link’s trusty horse with a big, blue Thomas the Tank engine. All aboard!

If you’d like to download the Thomas Train mod, you can do so right here.
