It was only a matter of time before the M4 made its way back into the Warzone 2 meta, and in Season 4 of the battle royale, this AR is one of the most versatile options once again. To make the most of the classic, I’ll go over the attachments I use and why they work the best for this gun.
Warzone 2 Season 4 – Best M4 Build and Attachments
Not only is the M4 a classic, but the attachments you need are also par for the course. I want to make the assault rifle as versatile as possible in Vondel or Al Mazrah, and that means using a build you may be familiar with. I have all the attachments you need listed below.
Best M4 Loadout in Warzone 2:
- Barrel: Hightower 20″ Barrel
- Muzzle: Harbinger D20
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Magazine: 60 Round Mag
- Optic: AIM OP-V4
Damage range and bullet velocity are the priority with the Hightower 20″ Barrel and the Harbinger D20. Making sure bullets are fast and have maximum damage is integral to the build. The suppressed sound and recoil control from both pieces is also a plus.
Next, I use the FTAC Ripper 56 as the main recoil control attachment for the M4. This has always been one of the best attachments for control, and nothing has changed. Make sure to tune the FTAC Ripper for control so you get the maximum benefits from the underbarrel.

The last two attachments are the 60 Round Mag and the AIM OP-V4 optic. I use the 60 Round Mag for the extra ammunition capacity I get in the middle of a fight. I don’t want to worry about reloads when a team is pushing. Then I have the AIM OP-V4 for low visual recoil and a clean sight. Supporting attachments like these will make a massive difference on the M4.
