ARMS Tier List – Characters and Arms

We offer an early look at how the characters and Arms stack up against one another.
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

The ARMS game is now available for the Nintendo Switch and many people are looking for an ARMS tier list so they know which characters and Arms to look at first. This article offers an evolving ARMS tier list that will cover the characters and Arms. Of course, as with any fighting game character tier list, this is not definitive. The game has just released and things will change as players get better and better at the game. This ARMS tier list will continue to change and evolve over time as new strategies are discovered.

It should also be noted that we won’t be factoring in the default Arms into the character tier list. The more you play ARMS the faster you’ll gain access to all Arms for all characters. It won’t be long before you’re switching Arms left and right, so the default Arms aren’t as important to how the characters rank in the tier list.

These tier lists are ranked from C to S, with C being the worst going all the way to up A, then S-tier being the best. While some characters and Arms are better than others, due to how the game plays you can be very good with any character and almost any combination of Arms. As always, these tier lists assume each character and Arm is being played at the highest possible skill level. Tiers vary considerably depending on the skill of the players involved, which means a really good player can easily best a novice player using the worst character and Arms set in the game.

We’ve already covered how each character plays and which characters we think are the best, as well as which Arms are the best, so be sure to check out those articles if you haven’t already. We also recommend checking out our general strategies article to better understand how to play ARMS.
