If you just picked up ARMS or you’re playing the ARMS Global Test Punch, you may be wondering how to change character color in the game. This article covers how to change the color of your character in ARMS for the Nintendo Switch. All of the ARMS fighters have one default color and three alternate colors or alternate skins. Luckily, it’s not difficult to change color in ARMS so let’s get to it.
How to Change Character Color
The only time you can change the color of a character’s outfit in ARMS is when you’re at the character select screen. Hover over the character of your choice, but before you select the character, press and hold inward on the Left Analog Stick (just like hitting L3 on the PlayStation or Xbox), the move it in any of the cardinal directions, up, down, left or right. Up gets you the default color, while right, left and down give you alternate colors.
Once you’re holding the Left Analog Stick inward and in the desired direction, lock in your character choice by pressing A and you’ll see the character model change to the selected color. Depending on which mode you’re currently playing, you may be able to go back to the character select screen and change your color if you didn’t get the one you wanted.
