Thursday, September 19th saw Respawn Entertainment officially announce the release date of Meltdown which will be Season 3 of its popular battle royale game, Apex Legends.

Players will be able to experience all of the exciting new content that will be arriving in the battle royale game in Season 3: Meltdown on Tuesday, October 1st. This start day will see the unique character of Crypto join the Apex Legends roster and bring an array of hacker based abilities for players to use on their quests for wins.

This release date will also see the addition of a brand new Battle Pass, a new Charge Rifle weapon, and Series 2 of the battle royale title’s Ranked playlist. More information regarding other pieces of content coming to the game when the new season’s arrival takes will be revealed in the coming days. There are sure to be plenty of more surprises for the community to learn about with the revealing of more information regarding what the next stage of life for the battle royale title has in store for them.

There is no doubt that players will be genuinely excited to try out the new character of Crypto. Respawn Entertainment has done an excellent job of teasing the hacker’s arrival to the game’s roster throughout this latest period of content.
