Announced in April, the New Horizons wedding event will see two beloved characters from New Leaf make their debut in the latest installment to the Animal Crossing series. When Is the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wedding Event?
The wedding event will take place during the month of June in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Beginning on June 1, players will be able to catch a flight to Harv’s Island to help plan the happy couple’s big day anytime through June 30. Fans of the franchise might recognize the couple to be as Cyrus and Reese from New Leaf. They are the owners of Re-Tail recycling shop. At the time of writing it’s unclear if Cyrus and Reese will be settling down in the world of New Horizons, or if they’ll be traveling elsewhere after the wedding event is over.
The two alpacas are in need of a photographer for their wedding anniversary photos and you’ll be tasked with helping them arrange the wedding chapel to get the perfect shot. This is a big day for the couple, so you’ll need to make sure you get the shot just right. It looks like you’ll be capturing the big day with your NookPhone too, so you better make sure the lighting is perfect! For your troubles, you’ll likely be gifted some type of wedding-themed item for your own island.

With the event lasting the whole month, it’s unclear if other NPCs will be getting married or participating in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons wedding event in some way. Thankfully things are going to kick off in just a few days so we won’t have to wait very long to find out.
