How to Get the Mermaid Set DIY Recipes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Players can collect all 18 Mermaid set items by giving Pascal Scallops. If you haven’t checked out the update, players are now able to swim and dive and can interact with a new otter NPC named Pascal. With the update, when players dive for Scallops, Pascal will appear and ask them if they’d like to trade their creature for a Mermaid DIY recipe (or sometimes a Pearl). To collect all the items in the Mermaid set, players will need to keep collecting Scallops and trading them to Pascal until they’ve collected them all.

Further, most recipes will require 1-2 Pearls, which can also be obtained by diving for creatures and trading with Pascal. So don’t be discouraged if you get a Pearl instead of a recipe, cuz you’re going to need a lot of them to craft everything in the Mermaid set. If you’re wondering which items you still need to get, we’ve got a full list of all the Mermaid DIY recipes below.
