All Scrappy the Rooster Upgrade Items and How To Get Them in ARC Raiders

Scrappy the Rooster can be your best friend in ARC Raiders as he passively gathers resources for you. You can improve his resource-gathering abilities by training him. Here are all the materials needed to train and upgrade Scrappy the Rooster, and where to find them in ARC Raiders.

Forager Scrappy (Level 2)

Required items:

• 1× Dog Collar

This is a blue rare item found primarily in residential zones, though the torn blanket can also appear in medical areas. On the Dam map, you can search for them in locations such as the Ruby Residence, Pale Apartments, and the Pattern House to the north. You’ll likely run into it over the course of normal gameplay.

Scavenger Scrappy (Level 3)

Required items:

• 3× Lemons
• 3× Apricots

Both of these items are classified as natural resources and can be found in vegetation-rich parts of the map. The best spot for these is the Hydroponic Dome Complex at the north end of the swamp area, clearly marked with a leaf icon. Keep in mind that you’ll need a total of 15 apricots overall, so it’s smart to collect extras now for the final upgrade.

Treasure Hunter Scrappy (Level 4)

Required items:

• 6× Prickly Pears
• 6× Olives
• 1× Cat Bed

The prickly pears and olives are both natural materials and can be collected in the same places as your previous nature items, such as the Hydroponic Dome or forest zones. The cat bed, however, is a commercial and residential item. It’s valued at 1000 credits, so many players accidentally sell it without realizing its importance. To find one, explore commercial areas like the Testing Annex in the southeast or the Research and Admin Building toward the south-middle of the map. Residential spots like Ruby Residence or the Pale Apartments can also spawn it.

Master Hoarder Scrappy (Level 5)

Required items:

• 12× Apricots
• 12× Mushrooms
• 3× Very Comfortable Pillows

Apricots and mushrooms can both be found in nature areas such as the Hydroponic Dome Complex or other leafy zones. The ‘Very Comfortable Pillows’ are trinkets that fall under the residential and commercial categories. They’re often worth 2000 credits each, so resist the urge to sell them. You can find them in the same types of locations as the cat bed in the residential and commercial zones scattered around the Dam map. Once collected, these items unlock Scrappy’s final form!

Scrappy searches for items every time you play in a Raid, regardless of whether you win or lose. Upgrading Scrappy is one of the smartest investments you can make early in Arc Raiders. Each tier increases his ability to automatically gather resources during raids, allowing you to focus on more valuable loot instead of basic crafting materials.
