Kihei Hanawa: Hanawa first appears in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. He is Kiryu’s manager, and the one who sends him to Hawaii.

Akane: Not quite a “returning” character because she was presumed dead in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Ichiban’s mother Akane may in fact be alive somewhere in Hawaii.

The following characters make physical or voice appearances in various Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth trailers, and as such are presumed to appear in the game in some manner:

Haruka Sawamura is Kiryu’s adopted daughter and biological daughter of Yumi Sawamura, one of Kiryu’s oldest friends. She has appeared in every game besides Yakuza 0, when she wasn’t born yet, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. She helps Kiryu run an orphanage starting in Yakuza 3, but she leaves in Yakuza 5 to pursue dreams of becoming a pop star and is a playable character.

Taiga Saejima, Majima’s sworn brother from the Tojo Clan, is a playable character in Yakuza 4 and 5, and a boss alongside Majima in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Daigo Dojima, a former patriarch of the Tojo Clan introduced in Yakuza 2, who appears in almost every game after; he was instrumental in dissolving the Tojo Clan and Omi Alliance in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Shun Akiyama, a playable character in Yakuza 4 and 5 who owns a loan agency where he gives out 0% interest loans to people who are truly in need.

Kaoru Sayama, a police detective and Kiryu’s romantic fling in Yakuza 2 who helps him take down the Jingweon Mafia; she left Japan at the start of Yakuza 3 and hasn’t been seen since.

Osamu Kashiwagi appears in Yakuza 0, 1, 2, and 3; he is presumed dead after a shootout but returns in Yakuza: Like a Dragon as the unnamed bartender of Survive Bar.

Nancy-chan is a crayfish from a substory in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, who returns in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and appears to have found true love with a hermit crab named Olivia.

Kazuki and Yuya run the host club Stardust in Kamurocho, acting as Kiryu’s allies and informants.

Sotaro Komaki is a martial arts master who taught Kiryu the Komaki Style.

Fujisawa, otherwise known as Pocket Circuit Fighter, is a recurring character who runs pocket circuits (toy racing cars) in various Yakuza games starring Kiryu, and Dragon Kart in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Yuki and Koyuki work at the Four Shine cabaret club; Yuki used to be the star hostess but became its owner, and Koyuki is her protege.

Makoto Date is a police detective who appears in almost every Yakuza game, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Taichi is a boy from the orphanage Kiryu and Haruka ran together; he is now in his 20s.

Masumi Arakawa, who dies during the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, may appear in a flashback, as his character and voice actor, Kiichi Nakai, are listed in the game’s cast on the Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth website.

This list will continue to be updated as more information is revealed about returning characters in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
