Pacific Drive is an upcoming survival game that mostly revolves around your old station wagon and your journey around the northwest of the USA – but where can you play it? Let’s see which platforms Pacific Drive will be available once it is released on February 22, 2024.
On Which Platforms Will Pacific Drive Be Available?
Pacific Drive will be available on day one on the following platforms and stores:
- Steam (Windows)
- Epic Games Store (Windows)
- PlayStation 5
It’s always great to have choices for your purchase on PC, but the rest of the field might not be happy upon the official release of the game. Ironwood Studios offers a small discount for pre-orders, so if your interest is sparked, you’ll perhaps have an easier time deciding whether to buy it or not.
You can also download a demo of Pacific Drive for free on PC right now.
What Platforms Are Not Getting Pacific Drive on Release?
The developers of Pacific Drive (Ironwood Studios) have already confirmed that they do not plan to implement support for Mac and Linux platforms. If there is a change regarding this stance, we’ll be glad to update this article.
PlayStation 4 owners might be sad because Pacific Drive won’t be available on last-gen consoles, but such is life in gaming, and all hardware sadly becomes redundant eventually.
When it comes to Xbox, there has been silence regarding the availability of Pacific Drive on Microsoft’s console. Since Ironwood Studios was not adamant about the availability in their statements so far, this may indicate that there’s a timed exclusive arrangement with PlayStation and that maybe, somewhere in the future (after a year or two?), we might get Pacific Drive for Xbox. However, I reckon it will be analogous to Sony’s competitor console; Xbox One will not be betting on Pacific Drive.
The same goes for Game Pass: There has been no word regarding the availability of Pacific Drive on Game Pass, so it’s safe to assume that this is not planned right now.
