Every New Weapon in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

Like every new season of Fortnite, we’ll receive plenty of new weapons to win the battle royale. Here’s the selection this time around:

Thunderbolt of Zeus

If you ever wanted to roleplay as the all-powerful Zeus, the Thunderbolt of Zeus is likely your go-to primary weapon in this season of Fortnite. It allows you to leap into the air and toss down lightning bolts with immense precision but only offers three charges with a lengthy cooldown. There’s also a Mythic variant available if you can beat Zeus.

Gatekeeper Shotgun

A shotgun is a fan favorite in close-quarters combat, and a powerful three-shot burst should turn the tide in any encounter. The Gatekeeper Shotgun, built by Hephaestus for Cerberus, is scattered about the island like a normal loot. There’s also a Mythic variant by defeating Cerberus!

Harbinger SMG

I’m a big fan of the overall design here, as it’s clearly an MPX but with gold trim. Apparently, this is the weapon Hades wields in the Fortnite universe, and it’s a powerful, fast-firing submachine gun capable of winning close-quarters battles. The downside to the Harbinger SMG is its increased recoil and bloom the longer you hold down the trigger.

Huntress DMR

A high-powered, single-shot rifle capable of mid to long-range engagements will allow those who prefer to keep some distance from their targets a chance at winning the battle royale. The Huntress DMR can be found as normal loot across the island. But Epic teased a Mythic version, only available for taking down Zeus himself!

Warforged Assault Rifle

A standard assault rifle designed for use by the likes of Ares, the Warforged Assault Rifle is powerful but inaccurate at a distance. It offers a high rate of fire and damage but immense recoil that players must manage to excel on the battlefield.

Returning Weapons in Chapter 5 Season 2

Along with the handful of new weaponry joining the arsenal in Fortnite, Chapter 5 Season 2 will also receive a selection of returning weapons. These include a few fan favorites and some that may prove decisive in this season’s meta. They include:

  • Hammer Pump Shotgun
  • Frenzy Auto Shotgun
  • Nemesis AR
  • Ranger Pistol
  • Reaper Sniper Rifle
  • Thunder Burst SMG

A few weapon modifications, like the Thermal Scope and Speedgrip, can also be found in Weapons Bunkers at Mod Bench to set the mood and help you walk away victorious!

If you can’t wait for the season to start, what with the delay and all, there are always a few other best games like Fortnite to play in the meantime.
