All New Plate Carriers and Backpacks in COD DMZ

Now you can carry more bottles.

While we don’t have a new location to tackle in Season 3 of the Call of Duty: DMZ mode, there was a ton of content added that will change the way players approach the game. Two of the most important additions this season are new backpacks and an array of plate carriers to choose from.

Standard vests and backpacks aren’t leaving the game, so you won’t always have to choose which equipment you want, or the items you’d like to barter for. However, the new additions work in tandem with the base equipment, and we’ll explain how they all work in this DMZ guide.

COD DMZ – All New Plate Carriers and Backpacks

Starting with the backpacks, there are two new ones that offer up entirely different uses. This Season 3 update is all about allowing players to enter a deployment with different objectives in mind, especially with the Active Duty Operators. Both backpacks are explained below.

New COD DMZ Backpacks:

  • Secure Backpacks – These packs can be found or bartered for and then assigned to your Active Duty Operator. The bag will allow players to carry mission items over between matches, even if they are eliminated in a match. That’s where the secured name comes in and it’s meant to help players with Faction Mission progress.
  • Scavenger Backpack – One of the weapon slots, which is the third slot in this case, will be removed so that there is more item space in the bag. Players who want to pack up as many items as possible will want this option.

Next, we have the Plate Carriers which are where your defense comes from. The standard ones will still provide the normal armor protection you expect, but the new ones can offer up some powerful perks. Anyone in a dedicated squad can really make use of these.

New COD DMZ Plate Carriers:

  • Tempered – Instead of three full bars needed to reach max armor, only two bars will be needed for the same amount of protection. This saves time on refilling the armor and additional plates in your inventory.
  • 3 Plate Medic Vest – Grants faster revives on teammates and faster self-revives.
  • 3 Plate Comms Vest – Anyone relying on UAV or UAV Towers can use the Comms Vest to increase its effectiveness. With this vest on, a standard UAV will look like Advanced UAV.
  • Stealth Plate Carrier – Simply adds the Ghost Perk without having to grind extractions for it.

When you’re exploring the different areas of COD DMZ in Season 3, you can look for many of these new items or you can attempt to build them through the Barter Recipe system. Either way, you have plenty of fresh options.
